Attorney / Claire J. Halpern
Claire J. Halpern is a shareholder of the firm in the St. Louis office. Ms. Halpern has practiced law as a municipal bond attorney since 1980. During her legal career, she has specialized in the areas of tax-exempt bond financing for state and local governments and housing projects and has represented corporate trustees and credit enhancers in connection with bond financings. Prior to joining Gilmore & Bell, Ms. Halpern practiced municipal bond law for 18 years and served as a law clerk to the Honorable John F. Nangle on the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Missouri (1975-79). Ms. Halpern is a member of the Missouri Bar Association. Ms. Halpern received her A.B. from Barnard College in 1972, and her J.D. from Washington University School of Law in 1975 where she was a member of the Order of the Coif.
