BACKGROUND
Kevin M. Cowan is a shareholder of the firm in the Wichita office. Mr. Cowan began practicing law in 1994 and specializes in the area of tax-exempt bond financing for cities, counties, special districts, hospitals, community colleges, and other private institutions. Mr. Cowan also advises cities and counties on the use of various economic development incentives and programs. Mr. Cowan has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for Public Finance since 2010. Mr. Cowan is a member of the Wichita and Kansas Bar Associations. Mr. Cowan received his B.B.A. (cum laude) in 1990 from Washburn University and his J.D. degree in 1994 from the University of Kansas. While in law school, he was a member of the Kansas Law Review, Associate Editor of the Criminal Procedure Review and a member of the Order of the Coif.
