Attorney / Tracy E. Shafton
BACKGROUND
Tracy E. Shafton is a shareholder of the firm in the Kansas City office. Ms. Shafton has practiced law with the firm since entering the law practice in 1997. Ms. Shafton specializes in the area of tax-exempt bond financing for local governments, universities and colleges, hospitals and other private institutions and has served as bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel on a wide variety of tax-exempt financings. Ms. Shafton is a member of the American College of Bond Counsel, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the Missouri, Kansas and Colorado Bar Associations. Ms. Shafton received her B.A. degree in political science from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 1993. She received her J.D. from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 1997, where she served as Note & Comment Editor of the UMKC Law Review.
