BACKGROUND
William D. Burns is a shareholder of the firm in the Kansas City office. Mr. Burns represents issuers, underwriters and other parties to public finance transactions, with a focus on health care, housing, and higher education financings, and advises clients on securities law and disclosure issues in public finance as a member of the firm’s Securities Group. He received his B.S. in Political Science and Journalism (cum laude) from Northwest Missouri State University in 2006 and his J.D. (cum laude) from Washington University School of Law in 2009. Mr. Burns is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association and the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
